Lehman College

Human Resources

Eric Washington, Director of Human ResourcesHello, welcome to Lehman College. My name is Eric Washington I am the Director of Human Resources at Lehman. As you begin your academic career at Lehman College you will want to make Human Resources one of your first stops on our campus. We are located in Shuster Hall, the second floor, Room 230, our main telephone / fax number are 718-960-8181 and 718-960-1191. Our goal is to support the faculty and staff so they can serve our students.

Our office will process the necessary documentation which will allow you to be given an identifying number called an empl ID. This number will allow you to access numerous important University and College information systems including the Blackboard system. Once we process your hiring information you will be able to receive your college email address and of course you will be entered into our payroll system.

As part of your hiring process you will also receive advice on enrollment for Health Benefits coverage and make the selection of your retirement plan. And while the University Payroll system is centralized we also have a campus coordinator who can assist you with payroll processing and information.

I know that the first days at a new campus, in a new position are hectic. But as many of our services for new faculty are time sensitive it is best to make your first visit to Human Resources during your first day on our campus.

We will continue to be available to assist you with these processes throughout your first year and for all of your career at Lehman. Thank you and again welcome to Lehman College. I hope you have a long and enjoyable career here.
