Lehman Generic Nursing Program Application Requirements
Generic Nursing Students – First Bachelor’s Degree
Two years of remaining coursework after completion of prerequisite courses
Before or during their final spring semester before admission to the Generic Nursing Program, students must:
- Complete their Nursing Program prerequisite course(s) (insert link to section within this document)
- Complete the HESI A2 exam (insert link to HESI A2 section within this document)
- Submit Nursing application and all other required documents in person to the Nursing Department, Building T-3, Room 201 by March 15th
Accelerated Generic Nursing Students – Second Bachelor’s Degree
Fifteen months of remaining courseworkStudents applying to the Accelerated Nursing Program (second bachelor’s degree – 15 months of coursework) must:
- Complete their Nursing Program prerequisite course(s) (insert link to section within this document) before or during their final fall semester before admission to the Program.
- Students needing additional courses to prepare for the HESI A2 examination (e.g., MAT 104: College Algebra and/or MAT 132: Introduction to Statistics) may include these course(s) while completing their natural science and foundation prerequisite courses.
- Students whose first bachelor’s degree comes from outside of the United States may also be required to take English as a Second Language (ESL) and/or English Composition courses; these courses can be completed while also completing other required courses. Please contact the English Composition program at steven.wyckoff@lehman.cuny.edu for additional information.
- Complete the HESI A2 exam before or during the final spring semester before admission to the Program.
- Submit Nursing applications and all required documents in person to the Nursing Department, Building T-3, Room 201 by March 15th
