General Housing Information

Campus housing is available to currently enrolled Lehman College or CUNY students who are in good academic and disciplinary standing.

Lehman College housing, The Lehman Grand, is located at 2530 Grand Concourse, Bronx, NY 10458.

Housing fees include a furnished room, utilities (electricity, water, and heat), Wi-Fi access, and access to common spaces and residential programming.

There are multiple rooms set up as ADA compliant, but all rooms are ADA adaptable and can be converted to ADA compliance should the need arise. 


Application & Assignments

Students can apply through the Lehman College Housing link. A completed application and deposit are required before a housing assignment is issued.

Yes, a $200 housing deposit is required to secure your space. The deposit is applied to your account through the Bursar’s Office once your housing contract is signed.

Deposits must be submitted by July 31 to reserve a room for the Fall 2026 semester.

Students are assigned housing based on responses to the roommate questionnaire (personality and living habits), submitted roommate preferences, and the timing of the deposit. Rooms are assigned by gender, and floors may be co-ed.

Yes. Students may indicate roommate preferences in the application. Requests are honored when possible but are not guaranteed.


Dining & Meal Plan

The Lightning Meal Plan provides students with a set number of meal swipes and dining dollars to be used at select campus dining locations. Learn More.

No, dining dollars will be only be accepted at the three World Café locations; the Underground Lounge, Harmony Café, and Carman Café.


Room, Amenities & Appliances

Each room is furnished with a bed, desk, chair, and storage space.

There are Eight washers and Ten dryers located on the 3rd floor. Students are responsible for putting money on a card to pay for machine use. 

Yes, there is a full kitchen on the third floor set up for student use. 

Yes. Students will have the option to rent a microwave and/or refrigerator through an approved vendor. Microwaves and a refrigerator are also located on the third floor.


Policies & Expectations

Yes. Quiet hours are enforced to support an academic living environment.

  • Weekdays: 10:00 PM – 9:00 AM
  • Weekends: 12:00 AM – 10:00 AM (Times subject to final confirmation.)

Yes. Housing facilities include security measures such as controlled access and staff oversight.

Students are expected to follow all housing and college policies. Violations may result in disciplinary action, including removal from housing.


Move-In & Living On Campus

Move-in dates and times will be communicated prior to the start of the semester.

Guest policies will be outlined in the housing handbook and must be followed at all times.

Resident Assistants (RAs) and Residence Life staff are available to support students and address concerns.


Billing & Payment

Housing charges are applied to your student account through the Bursar’s Office.

Cancellation policies, including applicable deadlines and fees, will be outlined in your housing contract.

Yes, we are currently reviewing proposals for a modest scholarship for the first set of students who choose to live in The Lehman Grand.


Transportation & Parking

Lehman College will provide a free shuttle service to and from campus, with stops at key campus locations, nearby subway stations, and CUNY on the Concourse. A full schedule will be shared soon.

The residence hall is located less than a mile from campus, and students may also choose to walk. Public transportation options, including the B and D trains along the Grand Concourse, are also available.

Yes. Lehman College offers monthly overnight parking for residential students at a rate of $150 per month. Parking is located on the main campus in the Student Lot on Goulden Avenue at Bedford Park Boulevard West.
