Managing Electronic Mailing List with Listserv

This workshop is designed for staff who manage electronic mailing lists hosted on our Listserv servers (, or are autthorized to send mail to the campus group mail lists (e.g. facutly-l, studetns-l).  Topics will include managing subscribers, formatting effective messages, evaluating the effectiveness of messages, configuration options, security, and list archives.  To register, go to the ITR Workshop Calendar.

Blackboard Template Workshop

The Lehman College Blackboard template is a class "shell" which you can use to build your own class. We have taken the standard Blackboard class and enhanced it by renaming, adding and reorganizing content areas and links. Blackboard Special Topics: Grade Center

The Blackboard Grade Center allows instructors to record grades for the various items to be included in the overall grade, compute intermediate and final grades, apply weights and inform students of their grades. Assignments, tests, quizzes, discussions, etc. may be automatically added to the Grade Center as they are added to the course. Where appropriate, these items can be automatically graded. Adobe Lightroom Basics

Adobe Lightroom is the best professional digital imaging software.  It provides the import, organization, image adjustment, and output features demanded by people who take digital photography seriously.  This class will be a basic introduction on using the software, from importing and organizing images, to lens-based corrections, perspective adjustments, color correction, noise reduction, and other image retouching methods.

Microsoft Outlook 2010: Desktop Client

This workshop provides an overview of the key features of the new Lehman email system for faculty and staff.  Learn to manage emai,s folders, contacts and more with Microsoft Outlook 2010. 

Microsoft Word 2010

This workshop will assist you to easily create professional-looking documents using various themes, visual designs, formatting tools, and sharing features. 

Microsoft Excel 2010 Basics

Microsoft Excel allows you to enter, manupulate and display numbers and text in a spreadsheet-a grid composed of rows, columns and cells.  Participants will be introduced to the Excel user interface including the ribbon, menus, toolbars and keyboard equivalents, cell, column and row references, data entry and formatting, creating and copying simple formulas, setting up a spreadsheet for printing, creating charts and data proection. This workshop will include hands-on exercises. 

Microsoft Excel 2010 Advanced

Microsoft Windows 7

This workshop introduces Windows 7, the version of Windows that is replacing Windows XP on many campus computers.  Topics include Windows 7 login procedures, the desktop and other features of the Windows 7 interface, management of files and folders, use of common tools and programs, customization of the desktop, browsing the internet, keyboard shortcuts and differences between XP and Windwos 7. 

SPSS Basics

SPSS is an application used for statistical data analysis and reporting.  Workshop topics include the SPSS user interface, the structure of SPSS datasets, running simple statistical procedures and reports with existing SPSS datasets, data definition and data entry within SPSS, SPSS file types and importing data from other sources such as Excel. 

SPSS Intermediate

SPSS is an application used for statistical data analysis and reporting.  Topics include data transformation (e.g. recoding and computing new variables), charts and graphs, managing output, exporting SPSS datasets to Excel, SAS and other formats, SPSS syntax, and intermediate-level statistical procedures.
