Blackboard Collaborate Basics

Online instruction in no longer limited to sharing documents and asynchronous communication tools such as email and discussion boards. Blackboard Collaborate allows faculty members to introduce web conferencing, chat, and shared whiteboards and applications into your online class. This new resource provides exciting opportunities to interact with your students, obtain immediate feedback, and to conduct online lectures and real-time discussions.
Microsoft Excel 2010: Using CUNYfirst Queries with Excel

A query allows us to retrieve data that meet certain conditions from a database in order to answer a question. This workshop is designed for users who run queries on CUNYfirst. CUNYfirst queries extract data in a variety of formats including Excel, HTML and PDF. The workshop will cover the management of the Excel extracts.

Microsoft Access 2010: Fundamentals

Microsoft Access is an application used to create and design small to midsize databases. This introductory workshop will cover navigating the Access 2010 interface, the creation of a simple database and the concept of a relational database and how it applies to Access.
SPSS Basics

SPSS is an application used for data analysis and reporting. Workshop topics include the SPSS user interface, setting up your data for use within SPSS, importing data from other sources such as Excel, running simple statistical procedures, managing output, SPSS file types, recoding data, creating new variables, and working with SPSS syntax.
