Competition arrives for Bronx power users. It's still rather confusing

New laws have left Joan Gayle and a good number of other Bronxites puzzling over their electric and gas service. In the not so distant past, things were far simpler with one company, offering one service. Consolidated Edison (or just plain Con Ed) supplied and delivered electricity and gas to a customer base of 372,000 Bronx households and supplied thousands of others with gas. Now that's changing.
