Federal Work-Study

The Federal Work Study Program provides jobs for Undergraduate and Graduate students with financial need, allowing them to earn money to help pay education expenses. The program encourages community service work and work related to their course of study.

In order to be placed for a Federal Work Study job for the current Academic Year, students must have Received and Accepted their 2025-2026 Federal Work Study Offer. This is part of the Financial Aid Award Offer Letter.

To view, students must follow the instructions below:

• Log on to their CUNYfirst account
• click on Student Center tile
• click on Financial Aid tile
• select Aid Year 2026
• Accept or Decline their 2025-2026 Federal Work Study Offer.

Fall 2025 Semester Federal Work Study Placement began September 8, 2025. Currently, due to the overwhelming requests and available funding, the waitlist has been closed for the 2025-26 academic year. Please continue to check this website for updated information. Please note this information is updated as of 10/6/2025.

***Important Reminder- Any funds earned during Summer 2025, will be deducted from the entire offer that was accepted for the 2025-26 academic year.***
