Daniela Lopez Amezquita

Biography

Daniela López Amézquita, born and raised in Mexico City, is a lens-based storyteller living in The Bronx. Holding a B.A. in Social Communication from Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana in Mexico City, she worked for seven years as Audiovisual Producer at Cineteca Nacional de México, where she discovered her passion for cinema and got the opportunity to collaborate with many Mexican cultural institutions such as Museo del Palacio de Bellas Artes and the Orquesta Filarmónica de la Ciudad de México.

After graduating from the New Media Narratives One Year Course at the International Center of Photography (ICP), she got the opportunity to work at ICP Archives and later on to be part of the Bronx Documentary Center, where she works as an educator for the Youth Photo League and assists the Film Fellowship Program. Nowadays, Daniela explores compelling ways to promote Mexican Culture and resources for the Mexican community as Social Media Coordinator for the Mexican Studies Institute.
