Environmental Health & Safety

Lehman College is not only a place of learning, but also a workplace where many activities can cause occupational hazard and impact the environment. Federal, New York State, and New York City regulatory agencies have standards for specific potentially hazardous activities and processes that apply to colleges and universities. In addition to this regulatory framework, Lehman College and CUNY have developed policies and procedures for dealing with potential occupational and environmental hazards beyond compliance with regulatory agency mandates.
