School of Education Student Modules

All registered School of Education students have access to a Blackboard Organization titled, "School of Education Student Modules." Visit your Bb account and view the resources available to you.

  • Educating All Students (EAS) Study Guide
  • The EAS Module offers you content knowledge, support and sample questions for all competency areas.
  • Each module might be embedded in your coursework and/or is available for your own study and preparation as a highly effective educator.
  • Lehman Alumni can access the modules in a CUNY-wide Bb organization using attached login directions (PDF).
  • The Texas Education Agency has designed a practice exam as prep for their state educator certification.  Although the format and platform are different, it is a computer-baed test that seems to share a lot of similar content with the EAS, and it is free! If you would like additional content review, you might want to check out the ETS practice exam on pedagogy and professional responsibilities.

(CSTs)

The CSTs (except those for languages other than English) consist of multiple-choice questions and a written assignment. The CSTs for languages other than English include recorded listening and/or speaking components and writing components. The American Sign Language CST includes video-recorded signing components. CSTs measure knowledge and skills in the content area of the candidate's field of certification.

Lehman College Office of Continuing Education offers PREP workshops for the CST– Content Specialty Test (Multi Subjects)

Multi-Subject CSTs:

  • Multi-Subject: Teachers of Early Childhood (Birth–Grade 2)
  • Multi-Subject: Teachers of Childhood (Grade 1–Grade 6)
  • Multi-Subject: Teachers of Middle Childhood (Grade 5–Grade 9)
  • Multi-Subject: Secondary Teachers (Grade 7–Grade 12)
  • For more details about Multi-Subject CSTs by program >>

Please note: Candidates may register to take all three parts at the same time or may register to take each part separately. There is a discount in price if all three parts are taken together at one administration.
