Foreign Language Consortium Program


Off-Campus Courses

The Department of Languages and Literatures participates in the Foreign Language Consortium Program between Lehman College, Manhattan College, and the College of Mount Saint Vincent. Through the consortium, Lehman College students may take courses in Arabic, Chinese, or Filipino at these other colleges, and students from these other colleges can take languages courses at Lehman College or at Manhattan College with an instructor from Lehman College. The consortium is administered on the Lehman campus by Asako Tochika.

If you wish to participate in the consortium and take a course in Arabic, Chinese, or Filipino at one of the other campuses, please send an e-mail to the consortium administrator. In your e-mail, please include:

  • Your name
  • Your CUNfirst Empl ID number
  • The language and the course number that you would like to take
  • The extent of your knowledge of the language that you would like to take

When you register for the off-campus courses as part of the consortium, you will also be registered at Manhattan College and CMSV. You will be given access to their library and online resources once your account is set up. To create your account at Manhattan/CMSV, your will need to submit your personal information.This information will be requested in a second e-mail once you have been given permission to register.
