The Lehman College School of Business has launched a new Entrepreneurship Club aimed at fostering innovation, creativity, and business development among students and the community.

Founded and led by students, the club offers a range of programs to help students build entrepreneurial skills and connect with industry leaders. It also provides a platform for aspiring community entrepreneurs to develop business ideas, network, and gain hands-on experience.

“The launch of the Lehman College School of Business Entrepreneurship Club is a significant step in fostering a culture of innovation and business leadership on our campus, said Dean Hurley, Dean, School of Business. “This club offers students invaluable opportunities to develop entrepreneurial skills, connect with industry leaders, and bring their business ideas to life, all while equipping them with the necessary tools and skills to become the next generation of changemakers and business leaders."

Key initiatives of the club include Social Entrepreneurship Education Day (SEEDay), where students will address social challenges and develop creative solutions, and The Founders’ Forum, which hosts workshops with entrepreneurial thought leaders.

The club will offer a Startup Consultancy Service, providing free consulting to the Lehman community and affordable services to small businesses in the NYC metro area. Additionally, it will join the National Collegiate Entrepreneurship Network, connecting students with a wider network of entrepreneurs and mentors across the country.

“The Entrepreneurship Club is an exciting new opportunity for Lehman students to take action on their entrepreneurial ideas, and move from concept to reality,” said founding president Yensly Castellanos ¢25.

What’s more, the club is open to all students, regardless of major or entrepreneurial experience.

“Whether a student aspires to start a business or not, the club will offer hands-on experiences, networking, and mentorship to equip students with entrepreneurial skills needed to succeed in business today,” added club advisor Andy Gold, clinical professor of Management and Business Innovation.
