Biography

Fernando Maldonado serves as the Data Coordinator at the CUNY Mexican Studies Institute, where he leads efforts to enhance data analysis strategies that deepen the Institute's understanding of its impact on the community.

Fernando brings a diverse background in data and finance, having held roles at Colgate-Palmolive and Eastman Chemical Company. His experience spans Master Data Management, Supply Chain Finance, and Cost Analysis. Throughout his career, he has successfully led multiple projects focused on data mining, budgeting, and financial optimization, delivering measurable cost savings and operational improvements.

Originally from Los Angeles, California, and raised in Mexico, Fernando earned a B.S. in Industrial Engineering from Anahuac University, where he was actively involved in leadership development programs.
