Lehman College Accreditation
The goal of accreditation is to ensure that the education provided by institutions of higher education meets acceptable levels of quality. Accrediting agencies develop evaluation criteria and conduct peer evaluations to assess whether or not those criteria are met.
Lehman College is accredited by the Middle States Commission of Higher Education (MSCHE), and is now preparing for re-accreditation later this year. Read more about the 2018-19 Re-Accreditation process.
The College most recently received reaffirmation of accreditation in 2009 and the evaluation of the Periodic Review Report in 2014. Review the documents here.
Many of the academic programs at Lehman are also accredited by discipline-specific accreditation agencies and associations. You can view the list of discipline-specific accreditations here.
