Teaching and Learning Instructional Series (Fall 2023)

Description: Teaching and Learning Instructional Series offers an opportunity to learn about instructional technology and innovative teaching and learning. These sessions offer an opportunity to engage in a dialogue about teaching and share best practices (whether you have been teaching for years or just getting started).

Each session is 60 minutes followed by a 30-minute Q&A. No matter whether you teach in-person or online, these sessions will offer ideas for engaging and supporting student learning in any instructional modality. Each session is offered HyFlex (you can join online or in-person (Carman 249).

Facilitator Information

John McDonough, M.Ed.

Bio: John McDonough has been an Instructional Designer at several institutions. He is well versed in adult learning theories and stay abreast of the latest in online education best practices and implementation. Most recently, he was at John Jay College of Criminal Justice, where he collaborated with faculty on designing and developing several model/exemplary courses spanning multiple disciplines. During his time at Lehman, he oversees our key program – the Course Design Institute. In this role John mentors several instructional designers, as well as guide instructors in developing engaging and effective online learning experiences.
