Step into the vibrant world of Latin big band music with industry veteran Pete Miranda, whose illustrious career includes performing with icons like Machito, Tito Rodríguez, and Tito Puente. In this engaging session, Pete will share captivating stories from his decades on stage and in the studio, while offering a hands-on demonstration and in-depth lecture on the art of phrasing and articulation in the Latin big band tradition. Three-time Grammy Award winner Pete Miranda was born in Manati, Puerto Rico. His love of music started in Junior High School where he learned to play the flute before attending the High School of Performing Arts. The rest as they say is history. Pete has been doing what he loves with some of the biggest names in Latin music: Tito Puente, Machito, Eddie and Charlie Palmieri, Tito Rodriguez, Celia Cruz, Lalo Rodriguez, Gilberto Santa Rosa, and the list goes on and on.
