Free resource that aggregates authoritative information from National Library of Medicine (NLM), National Institutes of Health (NIH), and other government agencies and health-related organizations. It provides information on over 700 health topics, prescription and over the counter drugs, and herbs and supplements. Also included are an illustrated medical encyclopedia, a medical dictionary, interactive patient tutorials, and the latest health news. The information is written for both the general public and health professionals. Much of the content is also available in Spanish.

A highly regarded weekly scholarly peer-reviewed journal that publishes original scientific research articles in all fields of science. It contains review articles, original research, reports, commentaries, editorials, correspondence, book reviews, and job listings. Full-text is available from 1997 to the present.

A highly respected weekly scholarly peer-reviewed journal that publishes original scientific research articles in all fields of science. This journal is produced by the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS). It contains brief news stories, in-depth research articles, original research reports, editorials, job listings, essays, book reviews, and letters to the editor. Full-text is available from 1997 to the present.

Directory of Open Access Journals		COMPLETE FULL-TEXT
Index of 4,000 free, full-text, quality controlled scientific and scholarly journals, which aims to cover all subjects and languages. Over 1400 of the journals can be searched for specific articles.

Dissertation Abstracts
Indexes doctoral dissertations from the U.S., Canada, Great Britain, and Europe, as well as master’s theses from the U.S. Includes dissertations from 1861 to present with abstracts beginning in 1980. Master’s theses and abstracts are available from 1988 to present.

Google Scholar		SOME LINKED FULL-TEXT ON CAMPUS
Searches the Web for articles, books, and other scholarly materials in many different disciplines. Most searches return an assortment of citations, abstracts, and links to full text. For better search results, try using the Advanced Scholar Search.

Health Source: Nursing/Academic Edition		SOME FULL-TEXT
Provides nearly 550 scholarly full text journals focusing on many medical disciplines. Also featured are abstracts and indexing for nearly 850 additional journals. In addition, this database includes Lexi-PAL Drug Guide, which covers 1,300 generic drug patient education sheets with more than 4,700 brand names.

HighWire Press		SOME FULL-TEXT
Produces the online versions of over 1,200 high-impact, peer-reviewed journals. All content is searchable, with titles and abstracts available for all journals. Over 300 of the journals included provide some access to free full-text. Journals in the humanities and social sciences are included in this repository; however, most of the journals focus on science research in biology, medicine, and the physical sciences.

Indexes 11,000 electronic publications covering science and medicine as well as the arts and humanities. Some of the articles indexed are available for free.

Provides full-text to back issues of journals in a wide range of disciplines from the humanities to the sciences. The Life Sciences collection contains over 160 journals, including all back issues for Science, and is strong in plants, ecology, and birds. Please note that the most recently published issues (past 3-5 years) of a journal are typically not available.

MathSciNet (American Mathematical Society)		SOME FULL-TEXT
MathSciNet, which is produced by the American Mathematical Society, is a comprehensive database covering the world's mathematical literature since 1940. It provides Web access to the bibliographic records and reviews of mathematical research literature contained in the Mathematical Reviews Database. Created by the National Library of Medicine (NLM), MEDLINE indexes articles from approximately 5,000 biomedical journals using the NLM's controlled vocabulary, Medical Subject Headings (MeSH®). It provides authoritative medical information on medicine, nursing, dentistry, veterinary medicine, the health care system, pre-clinical sciences, and much more. This EBSCOHost version of MEDLINE links you to articles from the library’s EBSCOHost journal subscriptions.

PLoS (Public Library of Science) Journals		COMPLETE FULL-TEXT
Collection of 7 open access peer-reviewed science journals. PLoS One includes articles on all aspects of science, while the other journals are more focused on research in the life sciences and medicine.

U.S. National Library of Medicine's (NLM) free digital archive of biomedical and life sciences journal literature. MEDLINE, the main component of PubMed, indexes articles from approximately 5,000 biomedical journals using the NLM's controlled vocabulary, Medical Subject Headings (MeSH®). In addition, PubMed includes life science journals that submit full-text articles to PubMed Central (another free government database at www.pubmedcentral.nih.gov ).

Access to over 2,000 full-text journals from all subject areas, but the majority of journals focus on scientific, technical, and medical research. Almost all the titles included are scholarly and peer-reviewed. One can browse or search for specific articles.

*	SciFinder Scholar Web Edition	SOME LINKED FULL-TEXT
SciFinder Scholar is the electronic version of "Chemical Abstracts." Use SciFinder Scholar to locate scholarly articles dealing with all aspects of chemistry and information on chemical substances and reactions. Further, SciFinder indexes patents, book chapters, and meeting abstracts in the field of chemistry. SciFinder is the most comprehensive bibliographic database for chemistry. It contains over 21 million citations and indexes over 8,000 journals. Coverage: 1907 - present. This database is only available on-campus. Prior to using SciFinder Scholar Web Edition for the first time, you will need to register for an account.

SCOPUS is the largest abstract and citation database of peer-reviewed literature and quality web sources. One can search for articles by topic, author, or university affiliation. Also, one can see how frequently articles have been cited.

Wiley Interscience		SOME FULL-TEXT
Indexes 1,400 journals and approximately 7,000 online books and major reference works covering from science and medicine to business and education. Lehman College users have full-text access to over 170 journals.

SpringerLink		SOME FULL-TEXT
Indexes over 1,750 peer-reviewed journals and 27,000 eBooks online covering from science and medicine to business, education, and the humanities. Lehman users have full-text access to nearly 8 journals covering a wide range of topics.
