Please print / save timesheets for your records. • Students can only work if they have remaining FWS funds and continue to meet all FWS program eligibility requirements. • Students can work a maximum of 20 hours per week. • Students can be paid only for those hours actually worked. Federal and State law prohibit any deviation from this regulation. • An unpaid work break is mandatory if the student works more than six (6) consecutive hours. o After the 6th hours, one half hour is the minimum break allowed. • The supervisor is responsible for making sure that the students do not work in excess of their FWS stipulated award / amount. • Timesheets must be submitted according to this Payroll Calendar to avoid any payment delays. o If the timesheet is submitted after the deadline, it will be processed for the next check distribution date. Instructions to Student: • Timesheets are usually for a two-week period. • You are required to take at least one-half hour lunch break after working six (6) consecutive hours. • Total hours for the day must not include breaks, lunch or supper periods. • You can only work a maximum of 20 hours per week. • Students who are in specific approved courses (i.e. clinical work, fieldwork, etc.) can work a maximum of 25 hours per week. • You may not work during times that you are scheduled to attend classes. • Students who drop below six (6) credits, withdraw (officially or un-officially) or stopped attending classes must stop work immediately.
