DESCRIPTION:This is the first event in a series of "listening parties" organized in collaboration with Jazz at Lincoln Center. Each listening party will be an educational themed performance and workshop. Our first artist featured is trombonist, composer, and multi-disciplinary artist Zekkereya El-magharbel.  Zekkereya focuses on uncovering ancestral tunings and melodies through intuitive means. They focus on Afro-Arab sonic histories that are often overlooked in discussion of African, Arabic, and Islamic music.
