New York City Department of Education: Free Meals for Everyone
Free Grab and Go meals are distributed at more than 400 sites across the city. Three meals a day, including breakfast are available to all NYC students Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at locations across the city. No registration, ID, or documentation required. All three meals may be picked up at the same time and parents and guardians may pick up the meals for their children. No dining space is available so all meals must be eaten off premises.
World Central Kitchen
World Central Kitchen works with community partners to distribute individually packaged fresh meals in communities that need support, for families to pick up and take home. The meal distribution locations, dates and times for New York City are posted to the World Central Kitchen at wck.org. You can call their Bronx partner, Office of Assemblyman Michael Blake at (718) 538-3829 for information about distribution sites in the Bronx. For more information about meals in Queens, call (718) 458-5367. In Manhattan, meals are available Monday through Saturday beginning at noon at the National Action Network’s House of Justice, 106 West 145th Street (at Malcolm X Blvd).

Citymeals on Wheels
Citymeals on Wheels delivers meals in all five boroughs to the homebound elderly. To qualify for home-delivered meals, a person must be at least 60 years old and meet other criteria. You can learn more about their meal programs and how to get contact information for the Case Management Agency nearest you visit citymeals.org. The Case Management Agency will guide you through the process of getting meals. You can also send a Citymeals e-card to a homebound elderly New Yorker. Each card provides two nourishing meals.
R.A.I.N. Total Care Inc.
R.A.I.N. Inc. is a multiservice agency offering a variety of services for seniors and individuals (adults) with disabilities. Seniors who are 60 years or older and have difficulty preparing meals may be able to receive home-delivered meals through the Home Delivered Meals Program funded by the Department for the Aging. To refer someone 60 years or older or if you are interested in receiving meals call R.A.I.N. at (718) 231-7246. Office hours are Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Food Help NYC Locator
Food pantries and community kitchens are located throughout the five boroughs. You can use the interactive Food Map to filter by borough, facility type such as community kitchen (serves hot food), food pantry (provides packaged goods) or to apply for SNAP/food benefits.
This site provides information for food pantries and food banks throughout the United States. Type in an address, city and state and you can search for the food pantries in the FoodPantries.org database closest to the address.

Free Groceries, Kingsbrigdge Armory
Bronx Community Board 7 confirmed on Saturday, April 4 that NYCEDC has authorized the use of the Kingsbridge Armory by NYC Emergency Management in collaboration with the National Guard and NYC TLC for food packaging and delivery.
Through a network of volunteers, Invisible Hands provides free deliveries of supplies and groceries for the most at-risk community members facing COVID-19. They are currently servicing the greater New York area and parts of New Jersey. Contact InvisibleHandsDeliver@gmail.com or call (732) 639-1579.
Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP)
SNAP helps people with limited income buy food. To get SNAP benefits, applicants must apply in the state where they currently live and must meet certain requirements, including resource and income limits. NYC residents can download an application from the portal.311.nyc.gov or contact the Human Resources Administration (HRA) agency at (718) 557-1399, Monday thru Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Staff is available through the automated phone system during business hours. Automated assistance is available in Cantonese, Mandarin, Russian, and Spanish.

HELP NOW NYC
NYC launched the Help Now Portal to connect New Yorkers who need help to resources on employment, benefits, seniors, food security, NYCHA residents, mental health and education--and to also give those who want to give help a way to do so.
NYSYLC Resource List (Prioritizes Resources for Undocumented People)
The New York State Youth Leadership Council is an undocumented youth led organization that works to empower immigrant youth through leadership development, grassroots organizing, educational advancement, and self-expression. The organization has compiled a live list of more than 100 funding, food, housing, support, education, internet, bill assistance, and wellness resources across the city. This list prioritizes resources open to undocumented people.
This service offers connection to free, confidential mental health support. Speak to a counselor via phone (1-888-NYC-WELL), text (text “WELL” to 65173), or chat (link to chat button from nycwell.cityofnewyork.us) and get access to mental health and substance use services in more than 200 languages 24/7/365. For Relay Service for Deaf/Hard of Hearing call 711. NYC Well bases its referrals on several factors including your health issues, location, insurance and financial requirements.
Portal 311 is New York City’s one-stop shop for all government information and non-emergency services. NYC311 is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Kingsbridge Heights Community Center
The K.H. Community Center offers a range of services including confidential advocacy, counseling and safety planning for student survivors provided over phone or video (call 347-201-3294); webinars and other remote gender-based violence prevention for students, faculty, and/or staff; and limited food distribution.
