We know that this could be a difficult period and are committed to student health and wellness. As such, please take advantage of the resources of Lehman’s Counseling Center, the Student Health Center as well as our Student Life Center. REQUEST A LAPTOP OR TABLET FOR REMOTE LEARNING: If you need to borrow a device for Summer or Fall terms: FILL OUT THE LAPTOP OR TABLET REQUEST FORM. If you have general questions about the loaner program, email firstname.lastname@example.org.
- Lehman College students who borrowed a device for the spring 2020 semester may retain the device for college coursework if they are also enrolled for summer or fall 2020 classes.
- Students who have made payment towards tuition for summer 2020 classes who are also enrolled for the fall 2020 semester are eligible for a loaner device.
- Loaner devices are the property of Lehman College and CUNY and are for educational use only.
- Recipients must agree to be financially responsible for the replacement of lost or damaged equipment. Malfunctioning devices will be replaced, if possible.
- The device must be returned in good working order at the end of the loan period.
- Because of the limited number and types of devices, the College may be unable to meet all requests.
- The College will take steps to ensure that devices are delivered to the intended recipient.
HOW TO CONFIRM RECEIPT OF YOUR LAPTOP OR TABLET
Lehman College will ship devices, primarily via UPS, as a means to maximize safety and health and to eliminate the need for students to travel to the College.
Once we have secured a laptop or tablet for your use, you will receive an automated email to your Lehman email address informing you that a loaner device is being prepared for you for shipping. The email will contain a UPS tracking number and expected delivery date.
**You will need to sign for the UPS package upon receipt—UPS will not leave the package at your door nor try to leave it in a mailbox.
Inside the package, you will find: (1) the device; (2) instructions on how to confirm receipt of the device; (3) a “Quick Start Guide”; (4) a Loan Agreement; and (5) a self-addressed envelope, postage paid.
Follow These 6 Steps to Confirm Receipt of Your Device:
- Sign the Loan Agreement.
- Place your Lehman College picture ID near your signature on the Loan Agreement form and take a photo of the Loan Agreement (make sure you can see your photo ID in the photograph).
- Take a photo of the device.
- Email both photos as attachments to the Campus Life Office at email@example.com. You will then receive a reply email from firstname.lastname@example.org, confirming receipt.
- Insert the signed Loan Agreement into the self-addressed envelope and mail it.
- Turn on your device, and return to your studies!
Note: You must both email a photo of the Loan Agreement and send the signed copy of the agreement in the U.S. mail.

Graduating students and students who are not continuing at Lehman must return the Lehman loaner device after receiving a UPS pick-up notice, which will be sent to the student's Lehman email address after the end of the semester (June for the Spring 2020 semester), which will be sent to the student's Lehman email address after the end of the semester.
Please pack the device in a suitable carton with packing material so that it is ready when UPS arrives. UPS will affix the return label and provide tracking information. Please note that failure to return the loaner device may result in additional charges and account holds.
BLACKBOARD: CUNY's Student User Guides to Blackboard provide useful information on how to get the most out of Blackboard.
Cloud File Storage & Collaboration
DROPBOX: The City University of New York is providing Dropbox and Dropbox Paper to all active CUNY students, faculty and administrative staff. You can use these tools to store and access files from different devices, share files, and collaborate on content.
MICROSOFT OFFICE 365: CUNY provides Microsoft Office 365 for Education to students at participating colleges via the Microsoft Office in Education program. The license remains active until you leave the University.
ADOBE CREATIVE CLOUD: A collection of over 20 desktop and mobile apps for photography, design, video, web, UX and more including Photoshop and InDesign.
SPRINT: Sprint will waive late fees, not terminate any service, and give current customers unlimited data and an additional 20 GB of hotspot services. They offer free calling to CDC level 3 countries.
T-MOBILE: T-Mobile is giving families access to unlimited data and providing an additional 20GB of hotspot services for current customers over the next 60 days.
VERIZON: Verizon is waiving late fees for all existing customers impacted by COVID-19 and will not terminate service for the next 60 days, and offers free international calling to CDC level 3 countries.
AT&T: AT&T is waiving data overage fees to all customers to ensure families have connectivity, and has promised not to terminate the service of any customer over the next 60 days.
ALTICE USA: Altice is offering 60 days of free broadband to households with K-12 and/or college students who do not already have internet access at home. Call 866-200-9522 to enroll.
COMCAST: Comcast is offering free public Wi-Fi for 60 Days to families who do not already have a subscription. For access, call 1-855-846-8376 for English and 1-855-765-6995 for Spanish.
CHARTER/SPECTRUM: Charter will offer free Spectrum broadband and Wi-Fi access for 60 days to households with K-12 and/or college students who do not already have a subscription. Call 1-844-488-8395 to enroll.

Notifications: Students may find important updates through the following assets: CUNY Alert, college-wide emails, a banner on the Lehman home page, and social media posts on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook, along with notices on Lehman 360, the main college phone line, and the Lehman mobile app. Your instructors will contact you by email, so please review your Lehman email account on a regular basis.

In light of the increasing concerns of the coronavirus (COVID-19) spread and impact it has on students' learning performance, CUNY's Office of the University Registrar has authorized the following adjustments to the Spring 2020 and Fall 2020 Academic Calendar. The following changes are outlined below and take effect immediately.
- Last Day to File for Pass/No Credit/Fail Option–CUNY announced a flexible credit/no credit policy, effective April 1, 2020. Students will have 20 days after they receive their spring term grades to decide if they want to convert the letter grades they earn in their classes to credit/no credit (CR/NC) grading. CUNY will supply students with pertinent information about the impact of CR/NC on their financial aid and academic progress. Read the policy.
- Course Withdrawal Period – Last Day to Drop with a Grade of “W.” The current deadline date listed on the calendar is Wednesday, April 1, 2020. We will move that date to Thursday, May 14, 2020. This is the published “Last Day of Classes,” and before final examination week and also prior to the “End of the Spring Term.”
- Incomplete Grades – Students who receive an INC grades in the Spring 2020 term would generally be required to submit outstanding work, “according to a deadline established by individual colleges of the University but no later than the last day of the following semester.” The University will allow students to submit incomplete work to faculty for resolution of INC grades for courses taken in Spring 2020 through the Fall 2020 semester, and the new deadline for faculty to submit Incomplete to Grade forms to the Registrar’s Office for resolution will be Wednesday, December 23, 2020. This date coincides with the “Final Grade Submission Deadline” for Fall 2020 courses. (To view the updated Fall 2020 Academic Calendar Click Here).
In order to receive this grade, a student needs to continue participating in academic related activities, complete all assignments, and take the final exam/culminating experience.
If a passing letter grade is earned, the student will receive a grade of "P," credit for the course, and no impact on the GPA. If a failing grade is earned (F), the student will receive a grade of "NP" and no impact on the GPA.
Students must remain in compliance with Federal and State Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) guidelines.

HEALTH AND SAFETY
If You Are Sick
- If you are sick, stay home at all times. If you do not feel better in three to four days, consult your health care provider. Call, text, use telemedicine or use your patient portal to contact your physician.
- Do not go to the emergency department or other places to seek health care if you are not severely ill. Stay home and keep health care access available for others with more severe illness.
- When taking or giving medicine, remember that many products to treat fever and flu-like symptoms contain the same active ingredient and you could be taking too much. Follow the recommended dosage on the medicine label. To check if you are managing medicines safely, contact the Poison Control Center to speak with a registered pharmacist or nurse.
- If you need help getting medical care, call 311. You can get care in NYC regardless of immigration status or ability to pay.
You can leave your home when all of the following are true:
- It has been seven days after your symptoms started.
- You have not had a fever for three days without the use of fever-reducing drugs.
- Your cough or sore throat symptoms have improved.
