The Evalyn and Stephen Milman Undergraduate and Graduate Scholarship for Innovation in Teaching is intended to recognize educator candidates who have demonstrated excellent academic performance and strong dispositions for being outstanding educators, and/or have already demonstrated leadership skills in a discipline based on their program of study.
Student Support Programs
LUTE-TOC (Lehman Urban Transformative Education-Teacher Opportunity Corps) is a program that represents the School of Education's Conceptual Framework, which advocates empowering learners, educating for equality, realizing potential, and affirming diversity. LUTE-TOC scholars who are enrolled in graduate programs will participate in a well-designed sequence of field/clinical experiences situated in schools that serve minority students from low-income families.
LUTE-STEM (Lehman Urban Transformational Education-Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics is a Teacher Quality Partnership (TQP) funded by the U.S. Department of Education.
Careers In Teaching is part of a Lehman College federally-funded TRIO Grant specializing in the assisting of collage students with economic or special disadvantages to successfully complete a program of study and become NYS-certified.
***TQP MATH-UP (Teacher Quality Partnership Mathematics Achievement with Teachers of High need Urban Population) targets college seniors studying in any major area, with interest and competency in mathematics who have a desire to teach at the elementary school level.
***Please note that the TQP MATH-UP Program is not accepting applications at this time.
