Lehman's Sally Nnamani Named First-Team All-Met D-III All-Star

Plains, N.Y. – Lehman College sophomore forward Sally
Nnamani was selected as a first team All-Met all-star by the National Invitation
Tournament and the Met Basketball Writers Assn. The All-Met awards will be presented
Tuesday evening, April 10th, at the Giants Stadium Club in East Rutherford,
N.J.
Nnamani, the 2006-07 CUNY Conference Player of the Year, averaged 20.2 ppg while leading Lehman College to it's first ever CUNY chamnpionship and an apperance in the 2007 NCAA Division III national tournament.
"This is a great honor for Sally," said Lehman College head coach Eric Harrison. "This is the perfect ending to a fantastic season for both Sally and our Lightning squad."
New York University sophomore forward Jessica McEntee was named 2006-07 All-Met Division III women’s college basketball player of the year, while her coach Janice Quinn was selected coach of the year for a sixth time.
Quinn coached the Violets to a 27-4 mark and a co-share of the UAA championship. She then guided NYU to the NCAA Division III Final Four for the third time. In 20 years at the helm, her record is 439-116, a .791 winning percentage.
Joining Nnamani on the All-Met first team: Chantel Anthony, Mount St. Mary; .Luci Custis, Wm. Paterson: Melissa Beyruti, Kean; Dora Enright, Stevens Tech.
The All-Met second team comprised: Christine Daley, Farmingdale
State; Lashannen Hogue, John Jay; Stephanie Machin, Montclair State; Dominique
McClendon, Baruch; Latrese McNair, New Jersey City.
