Lesleigh Hogg
8th Season
Coach
Hogg is in his seventh season at Lehman College. During his tenure the Lightning
have won two CUNYAC indoor championships and two outdoor championships. His
athletes have set 48 school records, qualified for NCAA DIII Nationals eight
times and attained All-American status twice. Before coming to Lehman coach
Hogg guided the program at Bronx Community College for 14 years. During that
time at BCC he had 13 NJCAA All-Americans and three individual National Champions.
On the international level coach Hogg has coached twelve Olympians representing
four countries. A native of the Bronx, Hogg now resides in Rockland County
with his wife and three of his four sons. Coach Hogg is a graduate of Manhattan
College where he competed and graduated with a degree in psychology.
Assistant Coach
Leroy Solomon
2nd Season
Leroy Solomon comes to the Lehman College track and field team with a long and successful coaching resume. Solomon began his athletic career at Taft High School in the Bronx. He then went on to compete in college at Bronx Community College, The University of Houston and The City College of New York. It was at the University of Houston where he became interested in the coaching aspect of track and field after studying under Coach Tom Tellez who also coached Olympian Carl Lewis. Solomon went on to coach several age group national champions and record holders. He has coached several collegiate All – Americans and international medallists. Of the new addition to the staff head coach Lesleigh Hogg said, “Leroy is one the most knowledgeable coaches I have come in contact with. The team will benefit greatly from him becoming part of our staff.”
