Lehman Names Skilins Head Men's Volleyball Coach
The Lehman College athletic department is pleased to announce the hiring of Daniel Skilins as it's new head men's volleyball coach. Skillins takes over the reigns from former coach Divina Arroyo.
Skilins, a graduate of Cal-State Fullerton, comes to the Lightning with a wealth of experience. Prior to joining the Lehman staff, he served as an assistant coach at Division I Fordham University, and Division II Lincoln Memorial University. After a stellar playing career at Monroe Community College in Rochester, NY, he went on to become a very successful AVP Pro Beach Qualifier.
"We are extremely pleased to welcome Daniel Skilins to our athletic department staff," said Lehman College athletic director Dr. Martin L. Zwiren. "Daniel brings a wealth of experience, and we look forward to him helping establish our programs rich tradition."
Skilins takes over a program which will begin the season in a few weeks. The Lightning who compete in the CUNY athletic conference, last captured the conference title in the 2002 season.
