Bronx, NY- Sophomore guard Duane Rhoden came up big for the Lightning, scoring 22 points, seven in the final two minutes of the game, as Lehman College clinched a playoff berth with a 61-55 victory over CCNY today at the APEX Arena.

Lehman (10-15/6-7 CUNY) needed a victory against CCNY, and a Brooklyn College victory over conference rival Medgar Evers to advance to the 41st Annual Con Edison CUNY Basketball tournament. Both happened and the Lightning advance to the tournament next weekend.

Senior leadership was on display on Senior Day, as Kyle Lockett scored 18 points, and forward Lenny Gonzalez added 10 points in the victory.

Up next for Lehman will be the CUNY Quarter-finals where the opponent would more than likely be Baruch College, next Sunday at 4:45 pm at the Nat Holman Gymnasium on the campus of CCNY.
