Lightning Basketball Coaches Announce
Summer Camp Dates

Bronx, NY- Lehman College women's basketball coach Eric Harrison, and men's basketball coach Steve Schulman announce the 7th Annual Eric Harrison & Steve Schulman Basketball Camps at Lehman College. The two weekly sessions will begin on July 30th thru August 3rd, with session two being held from August 6th-August 10th on the campus of Lehman College in the lovely APEX athletic facilities.[ continues ]

 

Lightning Welcome Back John Sanchez As Assistant Basketball Coach

Bronx, NY- The Lehman College men’s basketball team recently announced the hiring of John Sanchez as Assistant Men’s Basketball Coach. It will be Sanchez’s second stint with the Lightning. Sanchez was a member of the Lehman Staff for three years from 2000-2003. He played a major role in helping to build one of the most successful and consistent programs in the CUNY conference. CSI Downs Lehman In CUNY Quarter-Finals

New York, NY – The second-seeded College of Staten Island Dolphins staged a strong second half comeback to knock off the seventh-seeded Lehman College Lightning 62-55 in the fourth quarterfinal of the 2007 CUNY Athletic Conference / Con Edison Men’s Basketball Championship. An upset seemed to be brewing as the Lightning grabbed a 31-25 lead to conclude a hot-shooting first half, but a 13-0 run early in the second period was able to swing the momentum in Staten Island’s favor. New York, NY - For the second consecutive home game, the Bearcats suffered a home loss on a jumper in the closing seconds of a conference contest in the ARC Arena.

This time, Kyle Lockett (White Plains, N.Y./Alexander Hamilton) did the damage by nailing a jumper with 1.7 seconds left to give the visiting Lightning the important road victory. [ continues ]

New York, N.Y.— Lehman College shot 63 percent (17-for-27) from the floor in the first half and led gate-to-wire as John Jay, who were without their top playmaker and leading rebounder, fell to the Lightning 67-53 at the Doghouse on Friday. [ continues ]

Staten Island, NY- The College of Staten Island Men's Basketball team (9-12 Overall, 6-4 CUNYAC) picked up a hard-fought conference victory, defeating the Lehman College Lightning (6-15 Overall, 3-7 CUNYAC) by a score of 70-64 Wednesday evening at the Sports and Recreation Center in Willowbrook, NY.
