Head Coach
Stacy Ann Letford
6th Season
The Lehman college cheerleaders have come a long way since it’s debut in 1994. The cheerleaders have captured 4 titles in their career, third place in 1997 and 1998 and second place in 2002 and 2003. Now in it’s 11th year the team looks forward to taking that next step to first place.
Coach Stacy-Ann Letford took over the head cheerleading coaches position
from Tami Tanaka in September 2001. A graduate of Lehman College and a former
Cheerleader, Coach Letford was the assistant coach to Ms. Tanaka from 1998-2001.
Coach Letford has a Bachelors in Psychology with a minor in Dance. As a student
she was a very active part of the Lehman dance program. She was a lady Lighten
from 1994-1998, 2 time MVP (1996-1997 and 1997-1998) and former team captain.
Now in her 4th season as head coach her goal is to get her team to the next
step. She is very passionate about what she does and can be seen practicing
with her squad at least 4 times a week. The cheerleaders can be seen at both
the men’s and women’s basket ball games during the season. Coach
Letford feels she has made great progress and has no intention of looking
back.
