Alison Sky incorporated the allegory of a doorway as "a passage from one state of being into another" into the visual design and experience of the doorway frames at P.S. 83. Each classroom is given an individual identity through the inspirational quote that is written in colors that appear to change as you move, providing an interactive and kinetic encounter.
