Permanent Residents and Visitors depicts an aerial view through the eyes of some of the most common birds living and visiting the city. There are numerous species of birds crossing the skies of New York City—gulls, ducks, blue jays, eagles, cardinals, geese, and crows, among many others.

As travelers wait at the station for their train, they will be refreshed by the vibrant colors of these faceted glass windscreens. Through this installation the artist hopes commuters will contemplate the natural environment that surrounds them and appreciate that birds are a part of city life.
