Athlete of The Week - Maureen McBride, Hunter Jr., Ridgefield, CT

Maureen McBride

Undefeated in her last 12 races, McBride has led the Hawks to their first 4-0 start since the mid-1980's. The 5'11 dynamo set a personal bests in her ten races during this period, a 29.93 mark in the 50 butterfly against Brooklyn, as well as a season mark of 1:08.75 in the 100 Individual Medley.

Rookie of The Week - Lauren Hall, Hunter Fr., New York, NY

A freshman from nearby Thomas Hunter HS, Hall swam the fastest time in 12 of the 15 races she entered. Hall set team season marks in the 100 Breaststroke (1:22.92) against St. Joseph's and the 100 backstroke (1:13.01) versus York. She also combined with McBride for a 2:09.13 200 Medley Relay against St. Joseph's.

Athlete of The Week - Eugene Kagan, Staten Island Jr., Staten Island, NY

Kagan, a 5'10 alum of Fort Hamilton HS, just over the Verrazano Bridge, led the Dolphins to three wins during the span. Their only loss was to Division II Adelphi. Kagan took home the top prize in seven of his eight events against Lehman and Old Westbury, including a mark of 32.80 in the 50 Back-stroke and a 500 Free time of 5:45.64.

Rookie of The Week - Allan Kok, Staten Island So., Staten Island, NY

A newcomer to the team, Kok also won all four of his races against Lehman and three of his four events against Old Westbury. The graduate of St. Peter's HS won the 50 Butterfly in 26.27 versus Lehman and teamed with Kagan and Rich McLeod and Mike Caputo for a 1:40.67 time in the 200 Free Relay.
