Player of The Week - Melissa Quiles, CSI Fr., OF, Staten Island, NY

One of the new Dolphins from Port Richmond HS, Quiles was 6-7 with four RBIs and two runs scored in CSI's sweep over John Jay. For the week, the leftfielder went 8-18 and scored nine runs, while driving in eight, batting cleanup. On the year, she's batting .439 with 1.00 RBIs and 1.09 runs a game. With a 4-0 week against CUNYAC schools, CSI has distanced themselves from the pack.

Pitcher of The Week - Theresa Caputo, CSI So., P, Staten Island, NY

A back-to-back winner of this award, Caputo threw two complete game shutouts (5 innings each) to start the week. The Curtis HS alum followed it up with a four-hitter versus John Jay, in which she yielded no walks and one run, while striking out six. In her three wins she struck out batters.

Rookie of The Week - Jessica Terrusa, Baruch Fr., 3B/SS, Staten Island, NY

Also a two-time winner, Terrusa led the Stateswomen to three wins last week, going 3-4 at the plate in each contest. The St. John Villa HS grad also scored three runs and four RBIs in four games for the 5-5 (4-2) Stateswomen. On the year, she's hitting .528 with 14 RBIs in 10 games.
