Player of The Week - Carri Raffone, John Jay Jr, 3B, Islip, NY

The 2001 CUNYAC Player of the Year is at it again, last week the 5'2 Long Islander lead the Bloodhounds to a 6-2 mark that included a 6-0 CUNYAC mark. In the eight contests, the East Islip HS alumna was 13-29 (.448) at the plate with two doubles, two triples and three homers leading to 14 runs scored and 19 RBIs.

Pitcher of The Week - Julie Lowe, CSI Fr, P, Staten Island, NY

A highly-touted freshman from Port Richmond High School, Lowe has started on the mound like a veteran sporting a 3-0 mark this year. In two starts last week against Brooklyn and Baruch, she was 2- 0, giving up two hits, one earned runs, three walks, and 14 strikeouts in nine innings of action.

Rookie of The Week - Danielle Urti, CSI Fr, 1B, Staten Island, NY

After hitting her first career home run in a loss to Ramapo, Urti, a high school team-mate of Julie Lowe at Port Richmond, followed up with six hits in her next eleven at bats. On the week, she scored eight runs while driving in three and holds a .478 average after seven games for the defending Regular Season CUNYAC Champions.
