Player of The Week - Maureen McBride, Hunter - So, #2, Ridgefield, CT
McBride wrapped up the CUNY #2 singles title a year ago as a freshman and seems poised to repeat with some outstanding play early in the season. McBride (Ridgefield HS), a stellar all-around athlete for the Hawks went 3-0 on the week and has a 12-match unbeaten streak dating back to last year. She knocked off Lehman's Erica Hinds 6-0, 6-0 while disposing opponents from Stevens Tech (6-0, 6-4) and New Paltz (6-2, 6-2).

Rookie of The Week - Deonka Huggins, CCNY - Fr, #3, Bronx, NY
While the Beavers dropped their opener at Lehman 5-4, Huggins did her best to keep CCNY in the match. The 5'6 freshman out of St. Theresa High School in the Bronx won both of her matches on the day. In 3rd singles she defeated Lehman's Desirae Ross 10-6 and then combined with Crista Foster to win at #2 doubles 8-5.
