The Beavers’ #1 singles player went a
combined 10-0 to help lead CCNY to a 4-
1 record on the week. The sophomore
won both of her conference matches in
singles, defeating Johanna Rolondo (City
Tech) 6-1, 6-1 and Mickey Tabing
(Lehman) 6-0, 6-0. She also recorded #1
doubles victories with her partner Shin-
Hua Liu in those matches. The Manhattan
native also posted #1 singles victories
against St. Joseph’s (LI), New Rochelle,
and Sarah Lawrence.

A native of Ukraine, the Bearcats third
singles player went a combined 4-0 on
the week. The junior blanked Julie Saint-
Jean (City Tech), 6-0, 6-0 at #2 singles
and then settled into the #3 spot with a
victory over Lucie Lauria (CSI), 6-1, 6-1.
She also won a pair of #1 doubles
matches with her partner Janna Derjavina.
