Player of The Week - DANIEL VIZZI, JOHN JAY

The junior went 2-0 in singles and 2-0 in doubles last week for the Bloodhounds. The Wayne, NJ native lost only two games at #1 singles defeating Eugene Girshtel (Brooklyn), 6-0, 6-0, and Lenny Sherman (Staten Island), 6-1, 6-1. The Wayne Valley product also won a pair of matches at #1 doubles with partner Dino DiSaverio. John Jay is currently in second place and will face conference foes Hunter and York this week.


Rookie of The Week - OLSEN JACKSON, CCNY
Fr. / Logan HS / Logan, Utah

Usually CCNY’s #5 singles competitor, the Logan, Utah native stepped up to win matches at #3 singles against York and Hunter last week. He defeated Dwayne Watson (York), 10-2 and Al Pacheco (Hunter), 6-3, 6-3. He also won at #1 doubles playing with his partner Edgar Saenz. The Beavers are one of the top contenders in the conference this season and will finish out the season with John Jay.
