Player of The Week - VLADIMIR GOLDIN, BARUCH
Sr. / Brooklyn Tech HS / Brooklyn, NY

After taking a year off, Vladimir Goldin is back to his winning ways. Two seasons ago, Goldin played #2 singles for an undefeated Baruch squad that won the CUNYAC Championship. This year, he’s off to a similar start at the #3 position for the Bearcats. With two wins last week, a 6-2, 6-4 win over CCNY’s Justin Gonzalez and a 6- 0, 6-2 victory over Hunter’s Alvaro Pacheco, he moved to 4-0 on the season. He also won both #2 doubles matches, 8-5 last week with partners Maxim Moliver and Alex Sokol.

Rookie of The Week - ALEX SOKOL, BARUCH
Fr. / Susan Wagner HS / Staten Island, NY

A native of the outer borough, Sokol is also undefeated in sinlges and doubles (4-0 in each) on the young season after topping two more CUNYAC opponents last week. The Susan Wagner HS alum beat CCNY’s Edgar Saenz 6- 3, 6-4 and followed that with a 6-3, 6-1 defeat over Hunter’s Craig Kafko later in the week. In doubles he also had a pair of 8-5 victories with partners Witton Ng and Vladimir Goldin.
