Player of The Week - OWEN NILES, CCNY Sr. / MH / Brooklyn, NY

With the end of his brilliant career less than a month away, Owen Niles, the most accomplished player in CUNY history (1,554 career kills, 827 career blocks) is trying to lead the Beavers to their third CUNYAC title in his four seasons. Last week, facing Division II Queens College and two tough NECVA opponents (Mount St. Vincent and New Jersey City), CCNY went 2-1, as the 6'3 native of St. George, Barbados, collected 94 kills (7.38 per game, hitting .531), 2.8 blocks and 2.5 digs.

Rookie of The Week - RYAN REID, YORK Fr. / OH / Jamaica, West Indies

For the second straight week, Reid continues to play well, despite the Cardinals lack of team success. A 6'0" native of Jamaica, he averaged 2.2 kills, while hitting a solid .292. He also collected 0.8 digs and 0.4 blocks as well in the 15 games last week. His best match was in the Cards' first win of the year against Baptist Bible with 13 kills, four blocks, three digs and three service aces.
