^ Clinched Regular Season Title

Player of The Week - Alex Ilchenko, Staten Island So., #1 flight, Odessa, Russia

The sophomore Dolphin continued to dominate his flight with another 3-0 week, thus improving to 9-0 on the year. The dominant all-court player braved the cold weather at the National Tennis Center to down Hunter's Oded Meiron 7-5,6-3 in perhaps his toughest conference match yet. Ilchenko also won at #1 doubles with Dmitry Lutsker for a perfect 6-0 record for the week.

Rookie of The Week - Lev Slootsky, Hunter Fr., #4 flight, Brooklyn, NY

The rookie helped Hunter clinch the regular season title with two impressive performances over seasoned veterans. First the freshman out of E.R. Murrow knocked off Brooklyn's Kevin Allicock 6-0, 6-1 then followed it up with a victory over traditional finalist Paul Ricciardi 6-1,7-5. Slootsky (7- 1 on the year) also won both his doubles matches by a identical 10-6 score.
