Player of The Week - Kevin Biesty, Staten Island So., 6'1, P, Staten Island, NY


The New Dorp high school alum threw two gems this week, bringing the Dolphins mark to 5-3 in that span. In six innings pitched he struck out six batters while giving up 2 runs and earning the win over Manhattanville. Biesty gave up three hits and struck out nine in the complete game shut-out versus Baruch, bringing his season ERA to 2.45.


Pitcher of The Week - Moises Walters, John Jay Jr., 6'2, P, Brooklyn, NY

Walters pitched a complete game shut out versus The College of Staten Island Dolphins in his only appearance of the week. In nine innings pitched the Murray Bergtraum alum struck out ten while giving up three hits and walking five. The win led the Bloodhounds to a 2-1 week overall.

Rookie of The Week - Angoli Martinez, Lehman Fr., 5'10”, P, Bronx, NY

The freshman from George Washington high school gave up one run in two relief appearances last week for the Lightning, who went 2-3 overall. Earning the win against USMMA-Kings Point, Martinez threw six strong innings, giving up only four hits. He added three innings in relief in his second outing with one earned run.
