CUNYAC / Con Edison - Player Of The Week

The senior helped lead the Lightning, on a five-game winning streak, to two CUNYAC wins last week. The Bronx, New York native took just four shots in a blowout victory against Emmanuel last Monday, contributing four points, six rebounds and two steals. The 6'2" guard then exploded for a career-high 37 points (16-for-24 field goals) with 13 rebounds and three steals in a win over Hunter last Wednesday. The Walton graduate finished off the week in style, eclipsing the 1,000 point plateau after an 18-point performance in a victory against City Tech. He averaged 19.7 points, 8.0 rebounds, and 1.7 steals in the three contests, and is averaging a team-high 14.6 points per game on the season.

The 6'4" sophomore posted solid numbers in helping Baruch to a 2-1 week. The native of Abidjan, Ivory Coast averaged 8.3 points, 9.3 rebounds, and 2.0 blocks last week and saved his best performance for last in a conference victory against Medgar Evers on Friday. In that game, the forward recorded a double-double with 12 points, 16 rebounds, and four blocks, all career-highs. He opened the week with six points and five rebounds in a victory against Mt. St. Vincent and also added seven points and seven rebounds in a loss against John Jay.

2003-04 CUNY-NJAC CHALLENGE

This season the CUNY Athletic Conference and the New Jersey Athletic Conference have teamed up for an in-season challenge, pitting the ten CUNYAC teams versus the ten NJAC teams for both men and women. The matchups were selected by order of finish from last season. The will continue all season long and continue to monitor the results.
