Player of The Week

Vettenranta
Erja Vettenranta, CCNY, JR., OH, Jurva, Finland

Vettenranta has continued to flourish despite the rash of injuries her team has suffered of late. Last week, as the Lady Beavers went 1-1, the 5'7" hitter had 77 kills, 34 digs and 13 blocks, as she adjusts to playing in the middle instead of outside. Against Hunter, in a battle for the CUNYAC regular season title, she had a triple-double with 44 kills, 20 digs and 10 blocks, while hitting at a .429 clip.

Rookie of The Week

Meital Ben-Tovim, Hunter Fr. / OH / Hod-Hasharon, Israel

A 5'10" newcomer, Ben-Tovim is a sparkplug for the young Hawks as evidenced by a 14 kill, 14 dig performance in the clinching win over CCNY. On the week, the Manhattan resident had 35 kills (132 total attacks), 53 digs and seven blocks. In the Hawks other win of the week, she had eight kills without an error, while collecting 11 digs.
