Teacher Certification

Teacher certification and licensure are obtained through the New York State Education Department. All certification requirements are subject to change without notice. It is the responsibility of the student or graduate to consult with the Certification Officer in Carman Hall, Room B-33 and to stay informed about the latest certification requirements. In addition, the New York State Education Department maintains a website of current regulations at www.highered.nysed.gov/tcert.
