The Department of Health Sciences offers students the opportunity to study health education, nutrition, recreation, and health services administration; to learn to provide technical assistance in the analysis of health problems, policy formation, and management; and to acquire professional skill in the delivery of services in health, nutrition, and health services administration. The Department offers six programs of study: (1) Dietetics, Foods, and Nutrition, B.S.; (2) Exercise Science, B.S.; (3) Health Education and Promotion, B.S.; (4) Health N-12 Teacher, B.S.; (5) Health Services Administration, B.S.; (6) Recreation Education, B.S., and (7) Therapeutic Recreation, B.S. Some of these programs offer optional specializations. The Department offers an interdisciplinary minor in developmental disabilities and participates in the interdisciplinary Women's Studies Program.
