HCU (YDH) 340: Masterpieces of Yiddish Literature in Translation.
3 hours, 3 credits. Study of major works in Yiddish literature against the background of Jewish life in the cultural centers of Eastern Europe and the United States. Selections from Mendele Mocher Serforim, Peretz, Sholom Aleichem, and representatives of Soviet and American Yiddish literature will be covered.
