CIS 247: Practical UNIX: Programming and System Administration.
4 hours (2, lecture; 2, lab), 3 credits. Topics chosen from the following: text editors, file system, utility programs, pipe and filter paradigms, shell language programming; tools for maintenance of normal system operation, security, hardware and software configuration management, and network connections. PREREQ: CIS 211 and CIS 166.
