The Percy Ellis Sutton S.E.E.K. Tutoring and Supplemental Instruction Program not only offers free individual and group tutoring sessions, but a variety of workshops and supplemental instruction as well.
Tutoring
All tutoring sessions are held in a friendly, welcoming atmosphere. Tutoring is offered on an hourly basis for most coursework, as well as for ACT Reading, Writing, and Math. Appointments can be scheduled in advanced or made on a walk-in basis. We recommend making appointments in advance because tutor schedules can fill up very quickly.
Should we not have a tutor available for the course in which you need help, the S.E.E.K. Tutoring Office works closely with other academic support programs on campus, such as ACE (Old Gym Building, Room 215), the Math Lab (Gillet Hall, Room 222), and the Science Learning Center (Gillet Hall, Room 133) to get you the help you need.
S.E.E.K ACT Test Workshops ( Reading , Writing and Math)
S.E.E.K. conducts ACT Test Preparation Workshops throughout the year for students who have not yet passed the ACT Tests. These workshops focus on strategies for mastering the test and are usually held two to three times a week with each session running two to three hours in length. Testing Center policy requires that all students complete at least 20 hours of workshop instruction or tutoring prior to testing. Students must sign up in person in the Old Gym Building, Room 212.
S.E.E.K and Learn Workshops
A seven (7) week series of workshops ,in which students improve their reading , writing , and study skills. If interested, please sign up at the S.E.E.K Learning Center.

3. Pre- Science Workshop- recommended for student who are interested in majoring in Pre-Med or Nursing but are not enrolled in a science course
If you are interested in any of these workshops please
Supplemental Instruction (S.I.)
Supplemental Instruction is a 50-minute review session for students enrolled in historically difficult courses. S.I. sessions are led by former or current students who have been successful in these courses. S.I. is mandatory for all SEEK freshmen because it has been shown to improve student learning and performance. Students themselves report that S.I. not only helps them perform better in their courses, but it is a great way for them to make friends and receive mentoring from succesful students.
Computers and Electronic Resources
SEEK has a Computer Lab exclusively for SEEK students located in the Old Gym Building, Room 218. In addition, we have 20 laptop computers that can be loaned out for 2-hour periods with a validated ID.
