Thank you for your interest in Lehman College Student Housing. Here are a few instructions to guide you through the application process. Please read them carefully.
Criteria: In order to be eligible for Lehman College Student Housing, applicant must be a student at Lehman College. Undergraduate students must be registered for a minimum of 12 credits and Graduate students must be registered for a minimum of a 6 credits.
How to Apply: Open up the application in Adobe Acrobat Reader and type in all information on the screen. Print out the application [PDF] and mail it in or deliver it to the below address.

A completed application consists of:
- a typed copy of the Lehman College Student Housing Application with applicant’s information
- a $25 money order for your non-refundable application fee

General Housing FAQs
Q: How much will I pay per month?
A: Depending on which room you choose will depend on your monthly rate. The rates are as follows:
- Double Occupancy - $742 (per resident, per month), which translates to $8,715.42 annually
- Single Occupancy- $822 (per month), which translates to $9,663.66 annually
- LARGE Single Occupancy- $877 (per month), which translates to $10,299.96 annually
Q: Will this money be collected every month?
A: We have set up a schedule where you will make your payments in quarterly installments. Once you are accepted into the program you will receive the payment schedule.
Q: Will my Financial Aid or Scholarship pay for housing?
A: The Tuition Assistance Program (TAP) only covers the cost of tuition. Any additional cost to be a Student Housing resident is conditional on how much your Pell Grant or Scholarship will cover. For further information about Financial Aid and Housing, please see Mr. Hill, the Associate Director of Financial Aid, at Shuster Hall Room 136.
Q: What size rooms do I have to choose from?
A: We currently offer three (3) rooming choices: a double occupancy (which will include a roommate), a single occupancy and a LARGE single occupancy.
Q: How long will I live in the house?
A: The Bedford Park Residence has a license agreement which allows the resident to live on the premises for eleven and one half months per academic year.
Q: Is there separate housing for Graduates and Undergraduates?
A: Due to our status as a pilot program, we are still in the beginning stages of housing. This means that we currently have one brownstone, which is used to provide housing to all Lehman College students.
Q: How many rooms are available in the house?
A: For our pilot program, we have nineteen (19) spaces available for Lehman College students and two (2) spaces for Housing staff members.
Q: What rules will I have to follow once I become a Lehman College resident?
A: If you would like to see the Rules & Regulations and the Housing Student Handbook for the Bedford Park Residence, feel free to make an appointment to come into the office to see them. We are currently in the process of posting them online, so check our website for updates!
