Through a CUNY-wide partnership with Microsoft, Lehman College is offering a state-of-the-art email and communication suite.
Everything you do online email, shared calendars and chatting - now works together better than ever with 24/7 reliability.
As you know, CUNY has migrated student email to a new version of Microsoft Outlook. While many features are the same, there may be configuration changes that students have to make on their desktop or laptop computer, as well as on their cell phone. Lehman College wants to be sure that all students have tested their new email service and can successfully send and receive email. This is particularly important as we implement CUNYfirst. If you encounter any issues, please notify the Lehman Help Desk. Outlook Live is provided through an agreement between CUNY and Microsoft. You may keep your account for life. It is based on the Exchange email platform, and provides many useful features in addition to email: cloud storage, shared calendars, as well as anti-spam and anti-virus protection.
Go to the Lehman Outlook Live Page at: www.lehman.edu/live. Log-in with your Lehman account name and password.
If you use your cell phone to access your Lehman email account, you must reconfigure it to point to the new server. Visit the 'Configure Your Devices' page for details.
If you use a desktop client (e.g. Outlook, MacMail, Eudora, etc.) you must reconfigure it to point to the new server.
Microsoft requires that you accept their standard terms and conditions before accessing your new email account. You will be asked to select the "I Accept" button. If you do not accept the Microsoft terms and conditions, you will not be able to log-in.
If the three items above (2, 3,and 4), have not addressed your ability to access Outlook email, please contact the IT Center Help Desk by telephone (718-960-1111), email (helpdesk@lehman.cuny.edu), or in person (Carman 108).
If you had more than 10GB in messages and attachments, only up to 10GB were migrated. Also note, attachments over 35MB in size were not migrated unless they were saved in SkyDrive. You might also check the deleted items folder for missing messages.
Calendar items were not migrated, however, calendar information is available at: https://calendar.live.com. Distribution lists, custom settings (signature, email forwarding, etc.) were not migrated.
Yes, those files are still there. No changes have been made to SkyDrive, which is a cloud-based tool to store and organize your files. You can find SkyDrive at: https://skydrive.live.com/.
