Program Goals and Objectives
The Information Literacy program at the Leonard Lief Library subscribes to the information literacy goals and objectives defined by CUNY’s Librarian Information Literacy Advisory Committee (LILAC) for all CUNY libraries.
We also subscribe to the goals and objectives defined by the Association of College and Research Libraries.
Additionally, our own program is based on the conception of information literacy outlined in our Program Philosophy. The rubric, a version of which is in use throughout CUNY, outlines the broad competencies characteristic of students at different critical inquiry proficiency levels.
