Lehman Students Discuss Hispanic Heritage on MTV-U
Lehman students will share their views about their Hispanic Heritage on MTV-U’s upcoming program, La Semana, a week-long series that celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month.
MTV-U interviewed Lehman students and those at other colleges throughout the U.S. about culture, language, stereotypes and how Latino students are dealing with some of the challenges they may face on campus. Approximately 1.7 million Latino students are enrolled in colleges and universities across the country. Lehman boasts a large and diverse number of Latino students from a wide range of countries, including Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic, Mexico, Cuba, Ecuador and many others.
La Semana will debut on MTV-U during the week of September 27 and will run through October 3. All broadcasts will be subtitled in Spanish when English is spoken and in English when Spanish is spoken.
Tune in during the following hours. The feature with Lehman students will air about 10 minutes after the hour. The segment will repeat throughout the week.
